All partners in ministry and visitors are invited to join the community after the second service for a discussion and vote on the 2016 budget, as well as ministers and committee/congregation council members. Please join us for food, community, and a vision for the year to come. NOTE: We do have a potluck before the annual meeting. If your last name begins with A-F, please plan to bring a salad.  If your last name begins with G-P, please bring a main course.  If your last name begins with Q-Z bring a dessert.  Or else, heck, just bring your favorite pot-lucky thing.

Prices run from a $6 Kale Salad to a plate of Seared Scallops for $25, so there's something for every price range. Adult Forum: The Three Ds of Aging

Dr. Nancy Mc Mahon, Geriatric Psychologist, returns for another visit in our ongoing Mental Health series. Nancy will speak on Depression, Dementia, and Delirium with a focus on how we can find strength in what is preserved instead of mourning what is lost. All are welcome.

Lenten Fish Fry

Good Shepherd Catholic School Lenten Friday Fish Fry meals start on Feb 12 at 5:30 pm (except for Good Friday when it starts at 5pm because of a service at 7pm). It's an all-you-can-eat meal including deep-fried pollock, baked salmon, mac and cheese, baked potato, french fries, coleslaw, green salad, coffee, punch, and dessert (ice cream, cookies, cake). Last year the cost was $9, so we can anticipate a similar cost this year. Beer and wine can be purchased for $3.

Adult Forum: Evolution Sunday

On the Sunday closest to Charles Darwin’s birthday, religious groups all over the country will discuss the compatibility of science and religion. One of the goals is to provide evidence that evolution is sound science and central to our theology of Creation by a loving God. Led by Jim Harrer. All are welcome!

Worship: ELCA (Lutheran) Service

Weekly ELCA Lutheran service presided by Interim Pastor Penni Walsh. During the liturgical year, services include choir and organ. Communion is offered for all who attend, and guests are encouraged to join the community for Adult Forum discussions in the basement of the church at 9:15am before service. All are welcome!

Music: Saint Martin’s Chamber Choir

On Sunday, 14 February at 3pm, the men of Saint Martin’s Chamber Choir will present Joaquin Nin-Culmell's Symphonie des Mysterès in a program entitled, "Chant: Mystery and Mysticism." This twentieth-century work, led by Artistic Director Tim Krueger and accompanied by organist Richard Robertson, traces a dramatic arch, charting the birth, crucifixion, and resurrection of Christ, alternating Gregorian Chant and powerful movements for organ.
