Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares. —Hebrews 13:2

All Are Welcome

Part of our work at Saint Paul is ministering to one another, and making those who enter into this place of worship feel welcome. How do we do that? It starts with a smile and a handshake (or a hug, if you're more the hugging type). We introduce ourselves; we invite you to join in our activities; we invite you into the community from the very first visit. After all, in this place, ALL are welcome.

Much of our welcome involves food (not surprisingly). And while we all pitch in for a good celebration and feast—we are Lutheran potluckers, after all—there are some who truly have gifts for cooking and entertaining. We embrace these gifts as ministry in its own right, and give thanks for those who are willing to share these gifts with the community.

Here's a sampling of some of our hospitality opportunities:

* Post-service coffee and conversation (Sundays at 9am and 12pm)
* Post feast-day meals and potlucks (e.g. Easter, Christmas, etc.)
* Special events and fundraisers
* Summer barbecues
* Oktoberfest

Do you have some cooking and entertaining gifts? Would you like to share in the hospitality ministry of Saint Paul? Maybe you love to cook. Or design. Or clean. Or entertain. Or welcome. Whatever your talent for hospitality, come share it with us. Just send us a note on the contact page and let us know you'd like to be one of those welcoming smiles. It is from the first moments of welcome to the laughs over meals and glasses of good wine that we enjoy the blessings we share as community, and the relationships we have forged among us and with God.
