In response to an increasing interest in mental health and illness, the Education Ministry will offer a series of Adult Forum sessions during July to examine, discuss and hopefully better understand these issues that touch each of us directly or indirectly. We will continue to hold explore mental health and well being throughout the 2014-15 Adult Forum season and welcome other opportunities to engage our Lutheran and Catholic communities.

July 6: David and Bonnie Carlson will share their recent experiences with participating in family support group meetings for those with loved ones afflicted with severe depression or other mental illnesses.

July 20 and 27: Rev. Judith Wascher will lead a discussion of Henri Nouwen’s The Wounded Healer: Ministry in Contemporary Society. This classic of just 100 pages is available in libraries, bookstores and online.
